We invite you to check out our events calendar, with many family-friendly events and things to do on the weekends and every day of the week. We constantly update our events calendar, so there is always something new and exciting to do! 


Our fall harvest celebration weekends kick off on September 14, weather permitting. 
 Activities include Apple and Pumpkin picking, Corn maze, Apple cannons, Face Painting, Axe Throwing, Trackless Train Rides, and Hayrides.
The farm market will be well stocked with mums, pumpkins of all sizes and colors, and oodles of fall and Halloween decorating items.



The Chester County Restaurant and Food Truck Festival is back for its 43rd year! This foodie event is full of entertainment, information booths, local artisans, and tons of delicious food from Chester County and beyond. Local & regional food vendors and restaurants take over Downtown West Chester serving up some of their delicious, gourmet, ethnic, and unique restaurant favorites. The Beer and Wine Garden is a great place to stop and enjoy your food with a beverage. There are also three stage areas with bands performing throughout the day.



Follow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale travels from Kansas over the rainbow to the magical Land of Oz, will thrill SALT audiences of all ages. A meet and greet with the characters will take place after each performance! 



Join Thomas the Tank Engine™, a full-sized operating steam locomotive, as he greets friends of all ages. Thomas and his friends return to the Strasburg Rail Road in 2024!

Thomas the Tank Engine — the famous steam locomotive from the Island of Sodor — will pull your 45-minute excursion ride (4.5 miles east and 4.5 miles returning west on the same track) through the beautiful Lancaster County countryside.



Join us for an unforgettable weekend filled with thrilling equestrian events like the Open Speed Stake, the $25,000 Devon Fall Classic, Amateur Jumpers, and Take2 Thoroughbred Jumpers. Enjoy live entertainment and delicious food and drink, explore over 45 unique vendors, and have fun on the full Midway provided by Houghton Amusements! Fun for all ages—don’t miss out!



The CFHS is excited to announce that we will be hosting a battle reenactment! Join us for a historical journey back to September 11th, 1777, when the British army engaged Washington's troops at Chadd's Ford.

Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.
