Take Mom on a 90-minute round-trip train ride from West Chester to Glen Mills and return on her special day. During your brief layover in Glen Mills, you will be able to explore the historic Glen Mills train station as well as our picnic grove along the Chester Creek. All Moms ride for a special reduced fare!



Join us for a fun-filled, hands-on experience at Touch A Truck! This family-friendly event gives kids (and kids at heart) the chance to explore police cars, fire trucks, construction vehicles, and more!



Head to the park at dusk to enjoy some yummy treats and watch Mona 2 under the stars.



Family Yoga on the farm with Triple-Threat Fitness LLC.  Join us and Deanna Mother's Day morning for an hour of fun exercise and yoga movement designed for all ages and abilities.  This is a relaxing session held outdoors near our farm animals.  Not even our goats will be judging you!

Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.




Burn off some energy while having some fun while skating with the family.

West Chester University’s (WCU) Wells School of Music (WSOM) and the West Chester University Opera Theatre Presents HANSEL & GRETEL by Englebert Humperdinck on Saturday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 4, at 3 p.m., in the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, Philips Memorial Building, 700 S. High Street, West Chester. Tickets are only $10 for adults, and $5 for non-WCU students and seniors and are available at https://wcupatix.com.  This familiar and beloved fairy tale HANSEL & GRETEL by the Brothers Grimm comes to life as an opera with enchanting music by Engelbert Humperdinck. In the show, the young brother and sister lose their way in the woods and encounter the witch’s irresistible gingerbread house, but the chilling drama and delectable melodies are perfectly sweetened by a happy ending.

 


Join us the first weekend of May when we celebrate everyone's favorite interlocking construction toys! We'll be hosting displays, activities, and more!
On Sunday, we'll host a special Star Wars celebration as part of our LEGO weekend! Visitors will have the chance to interact with cosplayers and enjoy fun activities (like making their own lightsabers!)


Tour the Family Farm Museum to learn about seasonal tools used on farms from the 1700’s to the 1900’s. 

Take a wagon ride through our scenic 300 acres and help support the Friends of Springton Manor Farm. This non-profit group is dedicated to recreation, education, conservation, and preservation of the Farm, and will share information about volunteering at the park.


This is a sensory-friendly event for community families with children with special needs. Games and activities include a petting zoo, face painting, inflatable outdoor activities, arts and crafts, a plant sale, bingo, and raffles.


Help celebrate nature and protect the environment with our Earth Day volunteer event!
Each year, we bring together diverse volunteers from the community, including individuals, families, scout troops, and youth groups, to work on projects that improve habitat for wildlife, protect important natural resources, and preserve the park’s plant and animal communities.

The Archaeology Program seeks to evaluate archaeological resources and explore research questions concerning the development of the Newlin Grist Mill historic site while enhancing public knowledge and providing opportunities for the public to participate in the archaeological process.
Excavations are conducted under the leadership of resident archaeologist Keith Doms with assistance from members of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology and volunteers from the community. Individuals and groups throughout the region volunteer one Saturday per month to assist with excavations and artifact cleaning. The project is bringing to light new evidence that reshapes earlier perceptions.

Join us as we demonstrate and explore historic cooking and foodways! We’ll be using the recently restored 1739 Trimble House Kitchen, as well as the reconstructed Bake Oven behind the Miller’s House, to experiment with a variety of ingredients, techniques, and “receipts” (recipes).

Each program will have a different theme – this season, we’re exploring topics related to the ongoing archaeological excavations around the Trimble House complex in coordination with our Public Archaeology program!

The colorful display will include more than 90 creations of wall art, dioramas, and sculpture, featuring the popular Pennsylvania-made bunnies and chicks, and carefully handmade and contributed by Philly-area residents and organizations. Admission to the display is free. Guests are invited to vote for their favorite entries. Housed in the new Visitor & Event Center, located off Street Road and Peddler’s Lane.
