Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.
Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!
Carnival excitement is back this year at Ludwig’s Corner Show Grounds. Enjoy the fun from Tuesday, July 8, through Saturday, July 12. Along with the Houghton rides and midway, the weekend features entertainment by the Downingtown School of Rock and appearances by the SALT PA princesses on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The 3rd annual East Brandywine Food Truck Festival will feature a fantastic line-up of dinner and dessert trucks- double the number we had last year! Bounce houses, a petting zoo, and other carnival games will be available for the children. There will also be live music to enjoy with friends and family. We will be honoring our local police and fire department before concluding the night with a phenomenal fireworks display.

Imagination Street a new play space that kids and parents can enjoy together. For kids (ages 0–9), it is a meaningful, hands-on play experience in nine, interactive, themed playhouses that form a “city” to explore. For parents, there’s a cafe-style lounge to gather, drink coffee, or get some work done. Because the space is an open concept, parents are in close proximity of their children the entire time. They offer open play sessions, private parties, events, and more.
